Some nationalities can visit without a visa for a limited stay:
Diplomatic/official passport holders from Russia, China, Thailand, Hungary, Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Romania, Turkey, and Mexico may also enter visa-free. Japanese citizens can visit up to 30 days (any purpose) with at least six months of passport validity.
Gateways include Berlin, Beijing, Khokh Khot, Frankfurt, Moscow, Irkutsk, Osaka, and Seoul. MIAT and Air China fly to Ulaanbaatar. The Trans-Mongolian train from Moscow or Beijing is a scenic option. Many travelers connect via Moscow (Aeroflot/MIAT) or via Beijing (Air China/MIAT).
October–May: train tickets can be provided without tours. In summer: tickets are available only for clients who book a full tour.

A Ger (yurt) is the traditional round felt dwelling. Tourist camp gers have up to four beds and basic furnishings. Bathrooms and showers are shared in separate buildings.
